While in lockdown I signed up for a portrait challenge where we had to draw or paint a face each day for thirty days. I decided to use the challenge to work on my watercolour skills. I’d been using watercolour at life drawing sessions for a few months out of necessity – back and shoulder pain prevented me from lugging my oil paints around – but I never had the chance to really concentrate on technique. I enjoyed the challenge and learned quite a bit over the thirty days.
