#30Faces30Days

While in lockdown I signed up for a portrait challenge where we had to draw or paint a face each day for thirty days. I decided to use the challenge to work on my watercolour skills. I’d been using watercolour at life drawing sessions for a few months out of necessity – back and shoulder pain prevented me from lugging my oil paints around – but I never had the chance to really concentrate on technique. I enjoyed the challenge and learned quite a bit over the thirty days.

I am a full-time artist originally from the Philippines. I was at Parsons in Los Angeles and Paris finishing with a diploma in Communicaiton Design/Illustration in 1987. I now live and work in Edinburgh. Current studio obsessions are watercolours, the Helga paintings of Andrew Wyeth shadows and the music of Indochine.
