I am accepting commissions for dog portraits. Portraits will be painted in oil on professional quality canvas board. Lead time on a portrait will be about six weeks to ensure the artwork is completely dry before posting.
To book a portrait please use the form at the bottom of the page to let me know which size of portrait you would like as well as photos of your dog plus a little information about your furry friend. I will get back to you and work on the portrait will begin once the deposit had been received. Please do read the tips below regarding photographs.
It may happen that I will not be able to begin the portrait immediately due to other work commitments, in this case I will let you know when the deposit will need to be paid.
If you have any questions please contact me by email: email@example.com

A good photo is essential – feel free to send me as many as you feel are necessary. While I will only be working from a single image, it helps to have a selection.
If you would like to use a photo that was taken professionally, please make sure you have the photographer’s written permission.
Please send digital photographs in their original size.
Some things to keep in mind when taking pictures of your pet:
-Natural lighting is best, so photograph your dog outside if possible, avoiding strong lights or shadows that might obscure details. If taking a photo indoors, please avoid using flash. Instead, position your pet close to a window.
-Take your pet’s collar off
-Photograph your dog at their eye-level. It might be helpful to put a smaller dog on a table. Sitting makes a better portrait than lying down.
-Pictures with the dog looking slightly left or right of the camera with both eyes visible look best.
-Take several pictures making sure there is at least one photograph where your dog’s ears, nose and (especially) eyes are clearly visible, and one where the colours are most like your dog.
-If you are unable to take pictures, bear these tips in mind when going through old photographs
