Originally from Manila, Reggie McAndrew went to art college at Parsons in Los Angeles and Paris. She currently lives and works in Edinburgh where she completed the Figurative course at Leith School of Art in 2017. Current studio obsessions are portraits, light and shadow, wet-on-wet painting and the music of Indochine.
Reggie is a figurative artist whose work includes figure studies, portraits and still life paintings worked in oil or watercolour. Her work has a slow meditative quality that scrutinizes form, texture and shadow with effective use of colour and light. She currently exhibits with the Nak.Ed.Art collective – a group of artists from the Saturday Life Drawing sessions at Leith School of Art.
